Never buy used equipment from odot.

Hey found this when I was going through my website cleaning it up.
This was from last summer of 2006, when an Odot truck lost it's trailer and it's riding mower crashed through our shed.

Here is the poem that went with the photos or you can see the original page and other photos by clicking here.

It  was a  pleasant Tuesday, about 11 o'clock and the kids were at the sitters, while I worked in my socks. I just hit save on my computer when arose quite a clatter,  so I ran to the roof  garden to see what was the matter!

In my shock and dismay, it was an upsetting sight, an odot trailer had broken loose from it's pickup and decided to take flight.

The crazy old trailer had personality crisis and thought it had wings, the Deere on its bed did not think the same things. The trailer flipped 180 and the straps they did tear and that poor old  John Deere took off in the air!

John went head over heals and bounced on his head. He then smashed through my shed and ended up dead.

Now, I want you to understand  there is a simple point to this story I'm telling,  Deere can not fly and never buy machinery that odot  is selling.

Hope you enjoyed my story. It's all true  and  I'm still waiting for odot's insurance to contact me so I don't sue.  Ha

Joshua Janes is now riding the fast paced government  machine, I should get paid in about 6 years.

Well that's it, just got a kick out of reading that again.

Oh and we did get paid for the damage, but it was the typical government screw job.

The State of Ohio and it agencies may not be held liable for damages encored by their agencies or employees, so your personal insurance has to cover it.

Which means that if you have any previous claims on your insurance there is a good chance of you being kicked off, because of someone else's negligence.

Sweet deal Ohio, sweet deal.
