UNDERCONSTRUCTION: BUILD A BOOK

Creating a book has never been this big or need so much heavy equipment.

For the latest round of bulletin board sets from School Specialty Publishing for their Frank Schaffer line, I completed this illustration for "The Parts of a Book" set.

This bulletin board set includes a break down of all the parts of a book, the correct way to hold a book, and so on and so on. One of the four panels includes this poster size image of the construction of a giant book that a teacher or parent can place description pointers that tell what each part is.

This project was built in Cararra 3D and then imported into Adobe Photoshop and completed. The Final image is 17"x22", CMYK, @ 300ppi.

The illustration on the cover of the giant book was created by Doug Bowles and was provided by School Specialty Publishing. A really great illustration by Doug, who did this original image for the Gingerbread Man story that is in the Keepsake Story Book printed by School Specialty. Check it out some time if you get a chance, the entire story is beautiful. A truly talented artist.

I enjoyed working this image up and it all seemed to just fall together where it needed. Hope you enjoy it.
